Hi! I’m Kaitlyn, a Zoology major at Colorado State University with a lifelong love for animals. I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, which sparked my passion for animal care at a young age. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience through volunteering at adoption and therapy centers, working in youth education programs, and caring for pets at a dog boarding facility connected to a veterinary clinic. These experiences strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to each animal’s unique needs.

At the boarding facility, I worked with dogs of all ages and temperaments, including seniors, pets with medical needs, high-energy and reactive dogs, and police K9s. I’m experienced in reading body language, providing enrichment, and creating calm, positive interactions so pets feel safe and comfortable while away from home.

I hope to pursue a future career in wildlife conservation and education, and pet sitting allows me to continue growing my animal care skills while giving families peace of mind. Outside of pet sitting, I enjoy rock climbing, art, baking, and reading, and I love spending time with my family’s pets.
