Sweet for humans, dangerous for pets. Chocolate is toxic to both dogs and cats—especially dark and baking chocolate. Please keep Valentine’s treats safely out of reach of curious paws.

Your pet is your real Valentine! Keep the love going by skipping unsafe treats and décor this holiday. A little awareness goes a long way in keeping tails wagging and whiskers safe!

Not all flowers are pet-friendly. Many popular Valentine’s Day blooms—like lilies, tulips, and chrysanthemums—can be toxic to cats and dogs. When in doubt, keep flowers out of reach or opt for pet-safe alternatives.

Even small nibbles can cause stomach upset or more serious reactions in pets. To stay safe, place bouquets well out of reach or choose pet-safe flowers when celebrating Valentine’s Day.
